North Wales Active - Gorge Walking & Scrambling description

Eryri (Snowdonia) & North Wales gorge walking / scrambling has become hugely popular over the last few years due to the accessibility of the gorges and the fact that it's an all weather and all year round activity. 

North Wales Active only use experienced & qualified instructors who know and work in these gorges all year round.

We have one main gorge that we use which has different elements and challenges. All challenges are fun & range in difficulty but not all essential to do to complete the gorge. This gorge is suitable for everyone. The whole session takes 2 - 3 hours to complete depending on ability, fitness and group size.

Scrambling, climbing, squeezes, swimming and jumping our way up this amazingly beautiful gorge.

Fitness / Ability

Some general fitness is needed to complete the gorge. Please tell us prior to booking if anybody intending to come has any additional needs.

This gorge has less swimming in it but more scrambling & climbing. This is a great introduction to Gorge scrambling and its bigger brother canyoning.

Kit & clothing

There are no changing facilities at any of our adventure locations.

Please bring - Essential

• Sturdy trainers/walking boots to get wet in (no slip on beach shoes) Please ask if your unsure.
• Swim costume
• Towel
• Shorts for over your wetsuit
• Socks are optional
