What is Gorge Walking... Gorge Walking is scrambling, climbing, rock hopping, jumping in to water, swimming and squeezing your way up a gorge. This can be physically demanding depending on ability and weather.

Gorge Walk & Scramble

Option 1

This is Scrambling, swimming, jumping and squeezing your way up the gorge with your own private instructor. We offer 2 kinds of groups...Private or Mixed sessions.

Start times: 10.00am or 13.00

Time: 2 - 2.5 hours depending on group size and ability

Age: 10+

We do private or mixed groups -

For private groups your group will have an Instructor to yourself. For mixed groups you will be mixed in with other people on your activity session.

Cost - Private Groups

1 - 3 People £175 total.

4 people + £49 p.p.

Cost - Mixed Groups

£45 p.p.

Gorge & Big Abseil

Option 2

If you book this activity deal the abseil becomes less than half price.

Gorge: This is Scrambling, swimming, jumping and squeezing your way up the gorge and after a short break do our 90ft Abseil again all with your own private instructor. As this can take a few hours please bring some food and drink with you.

Abseil: is located 15 - 20 minutes drive from the gorge and its a big one. This is done in dry clothing.

Start times: 10.00am

Time: 3.5 - 5 Hours depending on group size and ability

Age: 10 +

We do private or mixed groups -

For private groups your group will have an Instructor to yourself. For mixed groups you will be mixed in with other people on your activity session.

Cost - Private Groups

1 - 3 People £225 total.

4 people+ £70 p.p.

Gorge & Climbing full day

Option 3

If you book this activity deal the rock climbing becomes less than half price.

Gorge: This is gorge fun followed by a rock climbing session with your own private Instructor. As this is an all day adventure please bring food and drink with you or speak to the instructor about a shop or cafe visit on the way to Climbing.

Climbing: Can be 15 - 25 minutes drive from the gorge location and is done in dry clothing after a lunch break.

Start time: 10.00am

Time: 6 - 6.5 Hours depending on group size and ability

Age: 10+

We do private or mixed groups -

For private groups your group will have an Instructor to yourself. For mixed groups you will be mixed in with other people on your activity session.

Cost - Private Groups

1 - 3 People £225 total.

North Wales Active - Gorge Walking & Scrambling description

Snowdonia & North Wales gorge walking / scrambling has become hugely popular over the last few years due to the accessibility of the gorges and the fact that it's an all weather and all year round activity.

North Wales Active only use experienced & qualified instructors who know and work in these gorges all year round.

We have one main gorge that we use which has different elements and challenges. All challenges are fun & range in difficulty but not all essential to do to complete the gorge. Jumps range from 1ft-10ft but not essential to complete the gorge. This gorge is suitable for everyone. The whole session takes 2 - 2.5 hours to complete depending on ability, fitness and group size.

Scrambling, climbing, squeezes, swimming and jumping our way up this amazingly beautiful gorge.

Fitness

Some fitness is needed to complete the gorge. This gorge has less swimming in it but more scrambling & climbing. This is a great introduction to Gorge scrambling and its bigger brother canyoning.

There are no changing facilities at any of our adventure locations.

Sturdy trainers/walking boots to get wet in (no beach shoes)

We have great ratios of 1 instructor to 10 people for this gorge.

This is important as you will recieve more attention for safety and a quality experience from our instructors.
