Canyoning - Canyon - Level 3

 

Our Canyon Xplore season runs from 1st May - 1st October. This Canyon is our level 3 for its remotness and big multiple abseil which can be quite intimidating for some.

Please try our Gorge scrambling or Canyon Level 2's first with easier exits out of the Canyons.

 

What is Canyoning... Canyoning is scrambling, climbing, abseiling, rock hopping, jumping in to water and swimming your way down a Canyon. This can be physically demanding depending on the Canyon and weather.

Canyon Xplore - prices and information

Canyon Xplore - Half day

Option 1

 

Canyon Xplore is our most intimidating canyon and due to the nature of the canyon You must be relatively fit and confident to book. Some big jumps and Abseils form this activity which is in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales.

 

Start times: 10.00am or 13.30.

Time: 3 - 3.5 Hours.

Age: 14+

 

Cost

1 - 3 People £200

4 People+ £60 p.p

 

 

Canyon Xplore & Rock Climbing - Full day

Option 2

 

If you book this activity deal the Rock climbing becomes less than half price.

Canyon: in the morning then after a quick lunch break a personal Rock climbing session about 5 minutes drive up the road. You have to be relatively fit and confident to book this activity. Please bring some food and drink if you book this full day of adventure.

 

Start times: 10.00am

Time: 6 - 6.5 Hours depending on group size and ability

Age: 14+

Canyon Xplore - Description

 

This Canyon is quite intimidating and extreme and should only be booked if your relatively fit and confident.

We meet everyone at the locations of each activity, saving you valuable time and money. All kit and equipment is brought to you by our experienced and qualified instructors.

North Wales canyoning has become hugely popular over the last few years due to the accessibility of the gorges & canyons and the fact that it's an all weather and all year round activity. 

North Wales Active only use experienced & qualified instructors who know and work in these gorges/canyons all year round.

 

Age & or physical ability Restrictions

14+ However if the instructor feels the weather is unsuitable or a child/adult is unable/unsuitable then the activity maybe changed to another Canyon.

 

Fitness

You dont have to be super fit but some fitness is needed to complete the canyon. Being able to swim 15 metres is essential.

 

kit & clothing

 

There are no changing facilities at any of our adventure locations.

 

We supply-

  • Helmet
  • Wetsuit
  • Bouyancy aid
  • Insurance
  • Qualified & experienced instructors

 

Please bring - Essential

  • Sturdy trainers/walking boots to get wet in (no beach shoes)
  • Swim costume
  • Towel
  • Shorts for over your wetsuit
  • Socks are optional

 

We have great ratios of 1 instructor to 10 people for this Canyon.

This is important as you will recieve more attention for safety and a quality experience from our instructors.

Canyon Xplore is near Ffestioniog but you will recieve very specific directions as a PDF when you book.
