3 Peak Challenge

Just an email to say thank you so much for the weekend. Everyone had the most amazing time even though we never completed the challenge.

I was so pleased with the way the event was organised and would recommend yourself to anyone in the future. I know one or two may contact you to do the 3 day challenge next year myself included as feel I missed out with not doing Scarfel Pike.

Also massive thank you to Neil I know we must have been hard work for him but at least we would have made him laugh he'll never forget us that’s for sure and of course last but not least Rob. You have a fantastic team so thank you!!!!!

Three Peaks Challenge team

Well done to a group of friends whom have just completed the 3 peaks challenge {Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Snowdon} with north wales active. The challenge was completed in 23.45 hrs/mins. We started off in fine weather on Ben Nevis only to find appaling weather and visability on Scafell and Snowdon to finish. The team were 8 friends who raised some money for charity. They had a fantastic attitude throughout-Thanks to Sam Corcoran for guiding on each Mountain. Date- 24th & 25th june 2011

Rescue in United Arab Emirates

I was lucky enough to be involved from a training perspective in a very difficult
rescue in the united arab emirates whilst training the U.A.E. army in adventerous
training 2011. The rescue was over very difficult terrain and drops, but
through team work, 20 of us got a single man on a stretcher down in 10 hours
from a gorge in ras al kaimah, using a variety of systems and carrying
tecniques.
The whole situation started the evening before whilst getting a
phone call climbing with some friends. We then headed straight up to see the man in some pain, having broken his leg and hurt his head we decided to spend the night and
proceed the following morning.
We spent the night in just clothes waiting for sunrise to start hoisting the man down.
